Streszczenie

Celem artykułu jest określenie roli prasy więziennej na podstawie analizy treści periodyków więziennych oraz porównanie treści w nich występujących. Analizie zostały poddane periodyki więzienne pochodzące z aresztów śledczych i zakładów karnych, a kryterium doboru periodyków do analizy porównawczej stanowiło miejsce ich wydania. Do analizy treści zastosowano metodę analizy dokumentów, a narzędzie stanowił autorski arkusz do analizy dokumentów. Na podstawie analizy wykazano, że we wszystkich 32 analizowanych periodykach najwięcej treści związanych było z edukacją oraz tematyką odbywania kary pozbawienia wolności i readaptacji, natomiast najmniej dotyczyło zagadnień prawnych oraz bieżących wydarzeń. Istnieją także różnice w porównywanych periodykach biorąc pod uwagę miejsce ich wydania. Może to wskazywać na różne potrzeby osób pozbawionych wolności i ich zainteresowania.

Prison periodicals created by persons deprived of liberty - content and functions

Summary

The aim of the article is to determine the role of the prison press based on the content analysis of prison periodicals and to compare the content appearing in them. Prison periodicals from pretrial detention centers and prisons were analyzed, and the criterion for selecting periodicals for comparative analysis was the place of their publication. The document analysis method was used for content analysis, and the research tool was an original document analysis sheet. Based on the content analysis, it was shown that in all 32 analyzed periodicals, the most content was related to education and the topics of imprisonment and reintegration, while the least content was related to legal issues and current events. There are also differences in the compared periodicals, considering the place of their publication. This may indicate the different needs of people deprived of liberty and their interests.
