Streszczenie

Godność osobista i bezpieczeństwo należą do ważnych wartości w globalnych, międzynarodowych i narodowych ustanowieniach prawnych i rozważaniach o tym, co najogólniejsze i cenne,  a wskazywane wśród niezbywalnych praw człowiek i obywatela oraz preferowanych w cywilizacji współczesnej. Są to wartości i prawa traktowane jako niezbywalne i naturalne dla każdego człowieka.  Jednak ich rozumienie bywa często rozmyte, dynamiczne i uwikłane w konteksty społeczne. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie ambiwalentnego rozumienia godności osobistej i bezpieczeństwa w kontekście społecznym instytucji penitencjarnych i poza nimi.

Personal dignity and personal security

Summary

Personal dignity and security are important values in global, international and national legal establishments and considerations about what is most general and valuable, and are indicated among the inalienable human and citizen rights preferred in modern civilization. These are values and rights treated as inalienable and natural for every human being. However, their understanding is often blurred, dynamic and entangled in social contexts. Hence the idea of the present text, which deals with the ambivalent understanding of these values, in particular in the social context of penitentiary institutions and beyond. The aim of the article is to present the ambivalent understanding of personal dignity and security in the social context of penitentiary institutions and beyond.
